Overview​

Text translation is your go-to tool for quick, accurate translations of any written content. Whether you're translating an email, social media post, or paragraph from a website, text translation provides instant results with streaming output.

How It Works​

  1. Input: Type or paste your text into the left panel
  2. Select Languages: Choose source and target languages
  3. Optional: Select a domain for specialized translation
  4. Translate: Click "Translate" or press Ctrl/Cmd+Enter
  5. Output: Watch the translation stream in real-time in the right panel

Getting Started​

Basic Translation​

  1. Navigate to the Translator page (homepage)
  2. In the left text area, enter or paste your text:
    • Type directly
    • Paste with Ctrl/Cmd+V
    • Maximum length depends on your plan
  3. Select your source language:
    • Choose specific language
    • Or select "Auto-detect" to let AI identify it
  4. Select your target language from the dropdown
  5. Click Translate or press Ctrl+Enter (Windows) / Cmd+Enter (Mac)

Real-Time Streaming​

XTranslator uses Server-Sent Events (SSE) to stream translations:

  • Translation appears word-by-word as it's generated
  • No waiting for complete processing
  • See results within seconds
  • Cancel anytime if needed

Visual Indicators:

  • 🔄 Translating: Translation in progress
  • ✅ Complete: Translation finished
  • ❌ Error: Issue occurred (see error message)

Advanced Features​

Auto-Detect Language​

Not sure what language your text is in?

  1. Set source language to "Auto-detect"
  2. AI automatically identifies the language
  3. Works with all 40+ supported languages
  4. Displays detected language after translation

Best for:

  • Multilingual content
  • Unknown source languages
  • Quick translations without manual selection

Limitations:

  • May be less accurate with very short text
  • Ambiguous text may be misidentified
  • Always verify if accuracy is critical

Domain Specialization​

Optimize translation quality for specific fields:

Available Domains:

  • General (Default): Everyday language
  • Legal: Legal documents, contracts, terms
  • Medical: Healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical
  • Politics: Government and public policy content
  • Financial: Banking, investment, accounting

How to use:

  1. Click the Domain dropdown
  2. Select appropriate domain
  3. Translation adapts terminology and style

Language Swap​

Quickly reverse translation direction:

  1. Click the ⇄ Swap button between language selectors
  2. Source and target languages switch
  3. Useful for back-and-forth conversations

Copy Translation​

Get your translation quickly:

  1. Click the Copy button in the output panel
  2. Translation copies to clipboard
  3. Paste anywhere with Ctrl/Cmd+V

Clear All​

Start fresh:

  1. Click Clear button
  2. Both input and output panels reset
  3. Language selections remain

  1. Use clear, well-structured text

    • Proper punctuation improves results
    • Complete sentences translate better than fragments
    • Check spelling before translating

  2. Select appropriate domain

Troubleshooting​

Translation Not Starting​

Issue: Click "Translate" but nothing happens

  2. Verify text is within character limit
  3. Ensure source and target languages are different
  4. Refresh page and try again
  5. Check if monthly credits exhausted

Translation Stops Mid-Stream​

Issue: Translation starts but stops before completing

Poor Quality Translation​

Issue: Translation doesn't make sense

"Insufficient Credits" Error​
